Step into the observatory and join us to admire the passing comet. I have some exciting updates for you.
NEWS
Last week I sent Fugitives off to my editor! It’s about a year and a half late, but that’s how long I needed to take to get this story—and my brain—to where it needed to be. Of course, you know what this means! Announcements for ARC readers, launch dates and, of course, a cover reveal will be coming soon!
If you’re interested in joining my exclusive street team, the Trowel-bearers, to review Fugitives, help reveal the cover, and plaster Nel across social media, you can apply here. Spots are limited, but I won’t be sharing the application with the public for another month, so you have a head start!
I’ve also returned to Tumblr, which I’m enjoying for all the unhinged shipping, evocative art, and brain-teasing hypotheticals. I’d love if you found me there!
NEW SOLFORGE SHORT
The newest deck scene for SolForge dropped as well, and this one was quite the adventure—both to write and play!
“Kindred Heshne staggered through the blizzard, hands and feet unfeeling blocks. Wind screamed above, and even if Heshne could speak, his cries for help would never carry over the storm. Still, he must tell Nova what he had seen: her magic—and that of the other Forgeborn—was not the only power at play. The Blight was here; he could see its black tendrils within the ice.”
You can find the rest of the scene and the others here.
MY CURRENT FIXATION
I was lucky enough to snag an ARC of Freydis Moon’s newest title, Heart, Haunt, Havoc. It hits shelves February 14th, and I think will easily make my top reads of 2021 (I know, a bit premature, but that’s how good it was!)
This month I joined the awesome Mid-Winter Book Fair filled with dozens of amazing fantasy titles or, if you’re more into science fiction, you can check out this great collection of apocalyptic/dystopian fiction. I have not one, not two, but THREE amazing collections for you to check out this month! If you’re looking for a great bargain, dive into these free SFF bestsellers.
That’s it for January; I hope to see you on my street team!
Until then, take good care.
